This very important fundraising campaign allows the school to pursue the enhancement of its programs and infrastructures in order to provide quality Christ-centred education to our students.
We encourage you to support Emmanuel Christian School through prayer and with a financial gift. Online donations are welcome through www.CanadaHelps.org
January 2015: We are currently at $35,000 or 70% of our goal. Help us reach $50,000 to continue strengthening our programs and equipping students for life.
Congratulations to our June 2014 graduates
Emmanuel has had a wonderful year, filled with academic and athletic accomplishments, lives touched by Montreal and Panama missions, a new website and Facebook site and several technological and program improvements as directed by our 5 year Strategic Plan.
We look forward to another school year where a continuous search for excellence will be grounded on a solid Christ-centred foundation. Here are some highlights of 2013-14:
First place in French and English Public Speaking competition against QAIS schools
We are proud of our high school students who work very hard at preparing speeches for our annual Public Speaking competitions. After competing against their classmates, students go on to semi-finals and finals in both French and English mother tongue. Our winners then compete against finalists of other QAIS (Quebec association of Independent Schools) schools.
This year, our students won first place in the Junior English and Senior French categories. Well done!
Basketball and Soccer GMAA Champions
Congratulations to our Juvenile Boys’ Soccer team for winning the GMAA (Greater Montreal Athletic Association) Division 3 championship.
Congratulations to our Juvenile Girls’ Basketball team for winning the GMAA Division 3 championship. Go Eagles!
For several years now, we have included missions as part of our Secondary 3 program. Secondary 3 students have the choice between a weeklong spring mission in Montreal or at an international level. Our students have travelled to Peru and Panama, building homes and spreading the Good News of Jesus-Christ through games, songs and skits.
Our local mission students helped in Montreal at Youth Unlimited’s La Corde center, Moisson Montreal, Welcome Hall Mission and with the homeless downtown. Our international team travelled to Panama and helped Awana missionaries touch the hearts of children for Christ.
China in 2014
Our Secondary 4 and 5 students have the possibility of going on educational trips in their two final years of high school. Many of our previous graduates have travelled to Europe. This year, a few of our sec. 4 and 5 students joined a group from Hamilton District Christian High School in a trip of a lifetime to China.
